almost 17 weeks!

I am going to try my best to do just as much for this baby as I did for Korban!

Jeff's Graduation

So Jeff was at WLC (Warrior Leadership Course) school for the entire month of April. He was learning how to lead other soldiers and develop skills to become an NCO. These are pictures of the graduation ceremony that closed out the month before we finally got to bring him home!

The Color Guard and representative flags of other nations that attended the course as well.

Our Mornings!

Korban starts his day with a cup of milk and drags his blankies around with him until he feels really awake.

This picture was taken especially for the Nelson family! Korban is eating his first "Egg in a Basket" in the shape of a Gingerbread Man.
Usually after breakfast, we play a little before we get dressed, unless we have somewhere fun to go!

Our Little Ham...

He loves sunglasses although his are still a little too big, he wants to be like mommy and daddy!
He loves his stuffed animals and blankies too! Anything that is soft, and he doesn't leave his crib in the morning without his brown bear from Aunt Holly!

Cool dude!

At WLC, they had an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids during Family Day. There were sections for the age groups and this was for the 1-4 year olds.

The Commander had a few words to say to the families and made the kids wait, and that anticipation was killing them! We had to pull Korban back to this side of the rope 3 or 4 times before they finally blew the horn!
Korban and daddy hunting the 2 eggs he found! (Mommy is in a really cute dress, but of course got stuck behind the camera.)

Easter 2009

The Easter Egg Hunt that the Chapel put on for the community!

Korban thought the eggs were so much fun, but wouldn't take any more than his little hands could carry, forget loading the basket up!
Korban and friend Makayla enjoying snacks after the exhausting egg hunt!

Korban and daddy opening his Easter basket while daddy is at school (WLC).Korban and Daddy blowing bubbles that Nona and Papa Kent sent!

Korban Loves The Park!

Korban loves the swings, but hasn't quite figured out how to do them alone yet.
"Reporting for Doodie" (That's what his butt says)

He has mastered the slide, and does it pretty much by himself now!

He loves anything that moves, and although there's not a picture of it here, he would stay on the see-saw for hours if someone would ride with him! He gets bored of mommy pushing it down for him though.
I love this picture! I almost felt like a real photographer for a second!

What's Korban Up To...

Korban had his first baking experience with Mommy, measuring flour for Banana Bread!
He has also decided to be quite the dare devil with his trike!

Korban thought it would be fun to wear Daddy's work jacket around the house.

Korban and Daddy were enjoying playing "Peek-A-Boo" with the new T.V. box.

Korban Playing in the Snow

It's late February, and Korban is going to have his first experience playing in the snow! Daddy is getting him all bundled up and ready to go!

He wasn't sure about it at first...

but then he started exploring...

and with daddy playing alongside, they had a great time!

Overall, I think Korban had a great day! He was a little overwhelmed by the number of people, and especially all the little people wanting so eagerly to help him open his gifts! He's got a great group of friends who love him and it was evident! Thanks to everyone for making Korban's 1st birthday so special!
