Daily Activities at Nona and Papa's

One of the neighbor's near Nona and Papa's house has horses. We walked up there and fed them a few times and the owner let Korban take a ride! He really enjoyed himself!

Picking Plums at Aunt Kay's

The big boys chillin' in the back seat!
 Ian excited for an adventure!
Aunt Kay and Uncle Dan have plum trees on the side of their house and there were tons of plums, so we offered to help pick them in exchange for taking some home to make jam! The boys had a blast, all 3 of them!
Ian even got in on the action for a little while.
After awhile, they learned the art of shaking the branches and then collecting the plums off the ground.

Ian also took a break to taste one of the plums and was very satisfied with it! Great for teething too!

Smore's and a First Camp Out

Nona and Papa have a fire pit, but it was too windy to use, so we improvised and the boys made smore's on the grill! This was a first experience for Korban, not ever having had a smore.

 He's a big fan!

Uncle Paul decided the boys should experience their first camp out, so he pitched a tent at the edge of the trees on the back of the property. They packed up the 4-wheeler and drove down to the tent in their jammies!

 Getting all tucked in!
Uncle Paul stayed with the boys and they all made it through the night!
Papa going to check on the boys in the morning!
Uncle Paul was pretty sleepy since Korban snored all night! Aunt Amanda came over in the morning and we all shared a yummy breakfast together!

The Rhino!

Papa got a little ATV for the boys to tool around on the property! Uncle Paul came over to give Korban a couple driving lessons and Maxwell went along for the ride!

Uncle Paul also took Korban for ride on Papa's 4-wheeler and let Korban control the throttle!
Korban and Hayden on one of their many driving adventures!

Ian is finally ready to go with the big boys! He was a little timid at first, but it looked like so much fun!
 Ian along for the ride!
Hayden driving and Korban controlling the "stereo". It had different sounds it could make.
Aren't these boys just precious?

Our Summer Vacation to Colorado

After living for a couple weeks out of boxes, since we were prepared for the movers, the boys were more than eager to help pack us for the states!
Soon after we arrived in Colorado, we had a family picnic with some of my mom's side of the family. My cousin Laura and her new husband James were in town, visiting all over the states and we were lucky enough to snag an evening with them!
Each time we go home for a visit, Korban and Hayden are instant friends, playing together and enjoying each others company! Here they were loving the playground together!
It took Ian a little while to warm up to people, but Nona and Papa were very patient with him and they won him over pretty quick!

Change of Plans

Well, we found out the night before our movers were set to come pack us, that we are no longer going to Spain! Jeff's orders got deleted and now all we know is that we will be stationed somewhere in Europe!

We have decided that Korban, Ian and I will still travel to Colorado in August, and then when Jeff is finished clearing Schweinfurt, Germany, he will join us in Colorado for vacation before we all head back to Germany, to a new location!

The Berlin Zoo

We had heard that the Berlin Zoo was one of the best in Europe and were very excited to check it out!
Korban had a blast watching all the different animals and how they behaved! His favorites were the elephants...

...and second were the monkeys! He probably would have stayed in there all day watching them!

Korban and Jackson had a lot of fun in the morning, but they decided to go take in some more sights in the afternoon because Jackson is not as huge a fan of animals as he is of sports and vehicles!
Korban wanted to play in this fountain so bad. By the end of that day, daddy gave in and they splashed together!
Korban loved how close up everything was. Ian just made ooh sounds at everything, but we think he enjoyed himself too!

Korban wanted pictures with all the statues! We managed to get couple!
We also went into the Aquarium, which is part of the zoo, and had a blast in there! There were tanks with all different kinds of jellyfish...
...and a carp pond that you could put your hands into. They nibbled at the boys' fingers and Korban didn't care for it much, but Ian loved it!
I think Ian would have gone swimming with them if we would have let him!
Mommy and the boys by the fish tanks.

More jellyfish.
We tried to catch a show with the sea lions, but on that particular day, the show times were different, so we missed out. We decided to get an ice cream pop and go see the penguins. Korban had a blast, but made a huge mess everywhere. Jeff was ready to clean Korban up, and he wasn't finished, so as he headed to the trash can to throw his Popsicle away, he hurriedly finished it! The penguins were cool and it was a nice break from the heat, but it was also really smelly in there!
Korban was fascinated getting to watch the Hippopotamus swim under the water. It was funny to see their stumpy legs at work!
We had a blast on this trip and made some fun family and friend memories!
